Our Story
In 2006, three of our physicians ventured out to start an independent pediatric group—Parkside Pediatrics. It was a bold move and challenged the traditional employed practice model, but they felt God was calling them to pioneer something new and different.
In the years that followed, Parkside Pediatrics became the standard for pediatric care around the Upstate as new offices were opened to serve the growing families wanting to partner in their local communities. The Parkside partners soon found another major need among the patient families and, in 2015, opened the Upstate’s first comprehensive lactation support facility for new mothers—Breastfeeding Center at Parkside.
The success of Parkside and BFC laid the groundwork for partnering with a successful independent primary care practice, Brio Primary Care later that same year. It was quickly evident to the partners that the two groups shared the same faith-based and team-centric approach to business.
To further our care, focusing on women’s health, Parkside OB-Gyn, opened its doors in 2019. Then in 2021, Parkside Family Medicine was established as a healthcare center for families in the Spartanburg area. In 2023, Tribe513 partnered with Grace Internal Medicine to further love and serve communities in the upstate. Vive Greenville, a counseling and psychology practice, joined Tribe513 in 2024, enhancing its range of services.
As each piece of the puzzle fell into place, it was obvious to the partnership team that God was at work orchestrating the connections. The foundation was laid and growth was inevitable, but with each successive addition, Tribe513 has become better and stronger, never losing its faith in God or its singular focus on what’s most important to you—your family.

When we opened Parkside Pediatrics, it was with a desire to elevate the level of attention and care for individuals and their families. We wanted to provide experienced, personal care in an environment that was comfortable and inviting, while fostering good health, quality of life, and hope.
The decision to expand our family of brands did not come about because of a need to generate more business or change who we are. We recognized that truly caring for individuals isn’t just about one event or phase of their life, but about every stage of life. And, to honor our mandate to serve others wholly, we’ve got to be there for each stage of the journey. So, we’ve designed our tribe around you and your family to grow with you and walk alongside you through life. We want to be there every step of the way.
We’ve been intentional about our growth over the past decade. Even though we’ve grown our services, our practice locations, and our team, we’re all still dedicated to each and every person who’s in our care. That will never change.
